What’s Sunday Like?Rooted & Relevant

At McCord Road Christian Church, our weekend services are an opportunity for you to connect with God as well as other believers in a casual, friendly environment. Our services take the best of modern music and updated hymns to accent the morning’s message. Each week, you’ll hear a relevant, life-giving, Bible-based message, and experience a time of communion and prayer. Whether you’ve been around church your whole life or this is a brand-new journey, we have a place for you.

When you arrive, the parking lot is behind the building, and the main entrance is to the right. Feel free to drop off friends and family under the covered entry. We offer guest parking directly in front of the entrance as well as reserved parking for families with infants.
Our goal is to help you feel at home at McCord. When you walk in, you’ll be welcomed by our greeters. We’re a pretty friendly bunch! Our team can answer any questions you may have.

As you approach the Sanctuary, you’ll pass a cafe area. Grab a free cup of coffee or tea and make yourself comfortable until the service begins.

There’s no dress code at McCord Road Christian Church. Dress is mostly casual, although it’s common for some people to dress up more. You’ll see some people in suits and others in jeans and a t-shirt. Wear whatever makes you comfortable! We like to create environments where everyone can feel comfortable, even if you’re new to church.
Bring the kids!
We offer children’s ministry, birth through sixth grade, at all of our services so you can enjoy a great service knowing your child is being loved and nurtured. Our purpose is “partnering with parents in leading children down ‘the Road’ of faith.” Everything we do is based on this purpose, whether it’s KidzTime, TNL Kidz or Club 56. We see our ministry as being in partnership with what’s taking place in the home…and we strive to be a support to parents and grandparents as they carry out their most important job of training up children to be Christ-followers.

For your child’s safety, you will receive two tags when you check in – one for your child and one for you. The tag is used to contact you during services if you are needed. (You will see the number on your tag appear on the large screens in the sanctuary.) You will also use your tag when you pick up your child. It will be checked by the volunteer in their classroom and again when you exit. All volunteers working with our kids have undergone a background check and attended training.

Our goal each and every weekend is to help you ensure that your child develops into all that God designed them to be.

Grades 7&8 are inviting to join us in the StreetLights Studio, cafe, and rec room during the 10:15 service. We would love to have your high school students come back and check us out on Wednesday 7-9pm

The StreetLights entrance is open on Wednesday’s only to aid in security for our Children’s Ministry on Sunday.

The Lord’s Supper was instituted by Jesus, practiced by the early church, and maintained throughout the history of the church (Matt 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:15-20; 1 Cor 11:23-26). We celebrate communion weekly at McCord Road Christian Church; it’s one way that we stay focused on Jesus. Everyone who believes in Jesus is welcome to participate, and the bread is even gluten-free so that everyone has the opportunity to join in.
Our elders are available at the end of every service to pray for you! We believe that God loves us, hears us, and is able to answer our prayers. Whether it’s something big or small, a situation you’re walking through or something on your heart following a worship service, we would love to pray with you.
Our Special Needs Coordinator and volunteers are here to serve children with special needs through 6th Grade at our first two services. They are trained and equipped to provide specialized care so that you can fully engage in a worship service.

Children beyond 6th Grade and adults are welcome to attend our regular worship services. Wheelchair-accessible spaces are available in our sanctuary if needed.

We look forward to meeting you!
